BEMBRIDGE WEREWOLF
Werewolf sighted Isle of Wight
Isle of Wight Follies - the hunt!
This coastal village of Bembridge on the Isle of Wight is said to have its own werewolf legend. According to local lore, a werewolf was seen roaming around the area in the early 1800s. The creature was described as being unusually tall and strong with a wolf-like face and hairy palms. It was said to only appear during the full moon and to disappear as soon as the moon had set.
The locals were so terrified of this creature that they would barricade themselves in their homes on the nights of the full moon. To this day, the werewolf of Bembridge continues to be a source of fascination and speculation. Who knows, you might even catch a glimpse of this mysterious creature if you’re brave enough to venture out on a full moon night.
