The Isle of Wight is a popular tourist destination off of the south coast of England, but few people know about its version of the Loch Ness Monster. Known as 'Downend', a cunning name given it's allegedly been seen walking about the place! This mysterious creature is said to inhabit the waters around the island. Sightings of Downend have been reported since the 1950s, with some describing it as being a large, black creature with a long neck and one or two humps. Although there haven't been any confirmed sightings in recent years, locals still watch for the strange creature. So if you're ever visiting the Isle of Wight, keep your eyes peeled for Downend
